Workouts

Creating a workout is very simple, from the ‘Products‘ page, just click on the Build Workout button, or if you’re editing an existing workout, click on the Edit link.

Each workout that you create is split into two sections. The first section is the Workout Header, this is where you give an overview of what your workout will contain, it is also where you can assign Stars and assign your workouts to clients and memberships. The second section is the Workout Content, which is a collection of exercises that are used to create your workout.

Workout Header

To create your workout you will need to give your workout a name and assign it to a category. The list of categories will only contain categories that have been created to accept workouts.

Give your Workout a brief description, this should only be a brief overview as your video will do most of the talking 🧐

Next, you will need to assign your workout to a Staff Member.

By default, your Workout will be accessible to all staff members that are registered within your uniquefit account. If you only wish the assigned Staff Member to have access to the workout disable the Shared Workout toggle switch so that it is red.

If you have enabled Star Club within your settings page you can assign a set number of stars 🤩 that your clients earn once they have completed the workout. To enable Stars simply toggle the Enable Star switch to green. Next, set the total number of stars that your client will be assigned on completion of the workout.

Give your clients a guide to the amount of time it will take to complete the workout.

You can give your workout search tags that you can use when searching for your workout, if adding multiple search tags make sure to separate them using a comma.

Next, add your workout explainer video. You can use either Youtube or Vimeo videos. For more info on adding a video, check out our quick guide to adding a video. Once you have added your video it will appear in the Workout Content section.

If you’d like to assign your Workout to an individual client or membership, you will first need to save your workout, you can then click on the ‘Assign to Clients’ icon within the Workout header, which will allow you to assign the selected workout to individual, multiple, or selected groups of clients.

You’ll notice that as you enter your Workout details you’ll be presented with a visual indication of what your clients will see within the client app. Please be aware that this is only a visual indication and may differ slightly within the app.

At the base of the visual, you’ll notice an area where you can add Equipment.

Adding Equipment

If your workout requires any equipment, you can let your clients know what equipment is needed within the Equipment area. Simply click on the green plus button to upload an image and caption for each equipment type. You can add as many types of equipment as needed, or you can leave it empty if no equipment is required.

Workout Content

Now that you’ve created your Workout Header, it’s time to give your workout some content!

Building your Workout

When you add a title you’ll notice a new green plus button appear, clicking the green plus button will show you all the exercises available to you. Clicking the green arrow icon will add the corresponding exercise to your workout. All videos added will be added to your selected title section.

Continue adding exercises until you have completed your first section, once completed click the +Add Title button to add a new title, for example, Workout.

Click on the green plus button to start adding content to your second section.

Your Workout can contain up to 3 individual title sections, each of which can contain any number of individual exercises, for example, ‘Warm Up’, ‘Workout’, and ‘Warm Down’.

Removing an Exercise

To remove an exercise from your workout simply click on the trash can.

Reordering Exercices

When you’re done click save.

If you have enabled on-demand content within your settings page, your Workout will now be available within the on-demand section of your app.

If you have the on-demand settings enabled, but you do not want to include the program within your workout, simply assign it to a ‘hidden’ category.
