It’s super easy to create your exercises, which are then used to build your workouts, programs and challenges.
To start adding or editing an exercise, navigate to the Library tab in the left-side menu.
Creating an Exercise
Each exercise is a set routine that you will use to build your workouts and programs. To start with, assign your exercise to one of your categories, now select the most appropriate Exercise Type. Next, select the core muscle group your exercise will target using the Muscle Target selector, only high-level muscle groups are required and whilst a large number of exercises will benefit the whole body, try and focus on one or two key areas only.
Adding videos
Youtube: Simply copy the Youtube URL from Youtube and paste it into the Video URL box. It’s important to make sure the visibility setting of the video is set to “Public” or “Unlisted”. “Private” videos will not play. For more information see the Adding Videos page.
Vimeo: To play Vimeo videos you will need to log into Vimeo account and select your video. At the top of the page click on your video name and in the dropdown select ‘Video File Link’. For best quality select an HD version of your video by clicking the ‘Copy link’ (you can also use SD versions). Return to uniquefit and paste the link into the Video URL box. For more information see the Adding Videos page.
As soon as you add your video link, click outside of the ‘Video Url’ box to display the video and its thumbnail.
Title and Description
Add your exercise title and give a brief description of the exercise.
Adding your Exercises
Each Exercise card is a combination of exercises that you can use to build your workouts. This means that you can use an Exercise card for single exercises or a combination of exercises as long as the exercise type is the same.
There are currently four exercise types, the ones listed below and ‘Supersets’, which is a collection of different exercise types:
Timer Duration
When creating a timed exercise you need to set the Target Duration, this is the duration of the exercise, for example how long to hold a position or how long to complete the exercise set. Next, set the Rest Timer, this is the time duration between sets.
Weighted
When creating a weighted exercise you will need to set the target weight and reps for the selected set. Next, set the Rest Timer, this is the time duration between sets. If you would like the client to record the weight that they’re using and/or record their total number of reps, then set the applicable toggle switches to green.
Body Weight
When creating a body weight exercise you will need to set the number of reps for the set. Next, set the Rest Timer, this is the time duration between sets.
Once you have created your exercise set, you can either use the ‘copy and paste’ icon (as shown below) to create multiple sets of the same quantity, or you can create and add multiple different sets with different quantities by clicking the green plus icon. To remove a set simply click on the trash can icon.
